CBTS Acquires Voice and Data Notification Developer/Provider Cintech

CBTS will now include Cintech's flagship service, cNotify, within the broad CBTS product portfolio designed to provide customized business solutions. The cNotify service delivers any combination of outbound notifications using voice, SMS text, e-mail, paging, and Web.
Because the services are IP based, customers can use a simple Web interface to load and manage contacts lists, record messages, and automate calls. In addition, speech-recognition capabilities can be added when capturing a customer's response over the phone is vital. This feature is particularly useful for applications such as surveys, order tracking, bill payment, appointment scheduling, and purchase transactions. A mobile version of cNotify is also available, making it possible for entire notification campaigns to be managed from a Web-enabled smartphone.
CBTS plans to host, manage, and support all of Cintech services. Cintech's current customer base includes some of the largest corporations in the United States and encompasses a variety of industries.
Terms of the transaction, which closed earlier this year, were not disclosed.
