CINCINNATI, Aug 24, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Cincinnati Bell (NYSE: CBB) has set this Friday, Aug. 27th as the last day to enter its "Flyerworks" contest. The prize: a round-trip helicopter ride to the Cincinnati Bell / WEBN Fireworks on Labor Day weekend.
Participating Cincinnati Bell retail stores, as well as Cincinnati Bell's Facebook page, will accept entries until 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27th.
Additionally, a massive "Get In Your Entry" party will take place on Cincinnati's Fountain Square during the lunch hour on Thursday, Aug. 26th.
"Everybody loves the Cincinnati Bell / WEBN Fireworks," said Tara Khoury, Senior VP & Chief Marketing Officer for Cincinnati Bell, "but the event is so popular, transportation can be a challenge. This is an opportunity to fly over the traffic to the best seats in the house, with 500,000 friends on the banks of the Ohio."
Two winners and their guests will win a Higher Ground Helicopters ride from a local airport to an exclusive landing site on the Ohio side, to be escorted to front-row seats on the Serpentine Wall, complete with access to a VIP hospitality area featuring food and refreshments.
"The region is very fortunate to have companies like Cincinnati Bell that make this community such a unique place to live, work, and play. What a way to celebrate one of America's largest outdoor events, the 34th annual Cincinnati Bell/WEBN Fireworks," said Chuck Fredrick, President/Market Manager for Clear Channel Media Cincinnati.
The Cincinnati Bell / WEBN Fireworks, commencing at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5th, is one of the largest and most prestigious public fireworks displays in the United States. This marks the 4th year of Cincinnati Bell's title sponsorship and the 34th year for the annual end-of-summer Labor Day fireworks display on the Ohio Riverfront in Cincinnati, Ohio and Newport, Kentucky.
